A quiet revolution is taking place up and down the country

Previously reeling from the demise of the local post office and the loss of the bus route into town, villagers are innovating, expanding and looking for improved services.

No doubt some will still strongly oppose sprawling schemes on their boundaries, but the right developer building a small number of the right kind of homes, and willing to make the right compromises, is being accepted.
